dunnieParticipant
hey there i am a digital user but started a black and white film course last week and am looking for a film camera,
canon is the aim as i can use my existing lenses,
can anyone tell me what they think of the 300x is it any good.(i have a 350d)
any help would be great. :? :? :? :?joolsveerParticipantI have two old Canon SLRs and they work fine with EF lenses but you can’t use EFS lenses on full frame cameras.
I don’t know about modern Canon film cameras but if ten year old ones are anything to go by I’m sure they are excellent. One of my cameras I got for ?16 on ebay (plus postage). I don’t think I would buy a new film camera at this stage. I also have a 350D.Not Pete the blokeParticipantI had a look at the spec here :
http://www.canon-europe.com/For_Home/Product_Finder/Cameras/SLR/EOS_300X/
and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. I have a collection of Canon film SLR’s including the 500N, EOS 300 and EOS 33. In US the 300 was called the Rebel, and I believe the 300x is the Rebel T2.
I would highly recommend the following little booklet, The pip expanded guide. I have it for the EOS 300 and it is excellent. Not Pete the blokeParticipantIncidentally I am delighted to hear that modern photography courses are extolling the virtues of film photography. Personally I would hate to see it die a death.
dunnieParticipantwell thanks for quick replies lads i know it sounds like i am buying for sake of it but have been using nikon for few weeks and just cant get to grips with it,
