I can’t really comment from a sports perspective … But I think the grain works – I also like the way you held the sky in your exposure and how the evening light picks up Dunlaoghaire in the distance and highlights the edges of the sails.
I have one niggle when looking at the picture, and that is that getting some space between the boats or even one boat in the frame would be stronger – although with one boat its hardly a race is it :lol:

There’s plenty more of these- things change quite rapidly out there.
Its actually quite difficult to frame tight when you’re bobbing up and down, so there’s quite a high failure ratio.
I was just getting used to the new camera at the time, so I’d probably do things differently next time-joseph
