Yellow flower

paperdollParticipantNoely FParticipant
I really like this shot, love the depth and the vivid colours.I’d like to see a different comp though, as the flower is very central.
paperdollParticipantWhy thank you Noely! You’re welcome to crop it, if you like……….(please)
Noely FParticipantThats quick! I like the way ya have to look into the photo now……..now inversely saturate the yellows by 32.9% whilst boosting the green channel by the number of petals on the first flower  I have to cut down on coffee
paperdollParticipantSorry – my eyes glazed over…could I have that in English !!! any more coffee and my eyes will pop out……….
SteveDParticipantPaperdoll, have you considered bringing a wee water-sprayer to the gardens with you? A quick mist would really allow the flowers to sparkle and add another dimension to your images.
Also, I recently got a set of extension tubes. I can imagine that if you got a set for your lens, it would open up a whole new world of photography in the gardens.

Thanks for the tips Steve. I will definitely try that next time I’ m there. As for extension tubes, this is something I will look into as it’s obviously less expensive than a dedicated macro lense.
