    Took these in Tokyo, Japan.

There is a hugh spider feature below the building, lends itself to great photo opportunities…

    Cool pictures, esp. 2nd one-
would definitely consider cloning out the cone though-
    shouldn’t be too difficult-

    thanks…

Yeah the first thing I saw when I opened the image was that I should have moved that cone!!

It’s annoying me alright… I could easily remove it, but for some reason dont want to… !?

I like the first one Jay. Makes me think of a still from a B-movie or something “Spiders From Outer Space”!

I’m afraid it would bother me so much that I’d have to re-name the picture Mori Tower – Tokyo Japan (with cone!)
    but then, I’m easily bothered…

To be honest, I wouldn’t be a big fan of your first image, but that second one is terrific, cone included. You could possibly clone it out but I can’t imagine being able to do so without the image looking doctored. Love it. Keep posting.

I think it could easily be done- in the old tradition of spotting, the objective is to make it not noticable. its in an area of the image thats not hyper-critical; all the interest is elsewhere. Unfortunately, the closer you get to perfection, you’ll find that the elements that are wrong will attain a greater importance. If it could have been moved in reality, then I don’t see a problem moving it with software. Many people have a problem with retouching from the point of view of the veracity of the image, I reckon that unless its a crime scene then this doesn’t really matter (in this case). If this picture was comissioned for the artist I reckon they would have a problem with the cone and you wouldn’t even present it without getting rid of the cone first-

And it probably wouldn’t matter if it wasn’t a good image in the first place-

Thanks for that Rob… good to hear. I have another photo of the same shot… I’ll add now. I would prefer it to the first one, if the quality was better. It was hard to get the shot cos it was night, and there was a light on that building shining down on the spider which was directly between me and the light…

lol jb7… I might rename the pic just for you ;) I dunno, I don’t like the cone, but it’s there… It’s like Coke with lemon in it… It’s there and you don’t really like it… but you drink it anyway.

Now that I definitely like. What a terrific angle and framing; very well seen. Keep up the good work. I’m impressed.

Yeah I agree with you in that sense… I would 100% remove it if it was for prefessional reasons etc… And Im quite handy with the likes of PS so it could easily be done… But I’m not going to!! ;)

Okay, so I got it wrong. Only a complete beginner so I didn’t believe you could remove the cone without leaving any trace. But, for the record, I preferred it with the cone; a nice little anomaly and point of interest within the frame
