Had a great evening of photography with Andy. The light at the causeway was outstanding. Here are some of my photos, and feedback is very welcome!

    Steve,

    Super, super, super.

Isn’t it amazing that we came home with such different images. I was looking over your shoulder but didn’t see these little beauties.

The first and the last images are simply perfect. Just look at those clouds in the first, stunning. The people help add a bit of scale too.

We must get out again if it creates such inspiration !!

Just stunning! Have wanted to go there for twilight for the last couple of years, I’ll have to make it a priority. Fantastic series :)

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I agree the third is probably the weakest, so I would like to offer this as a replacement……..

    A well substituted image, Steve.

Just goes to show what a little bit of light can do to transform a scene photographed by so many, yet captured by so few. For me the 1st, last, and latest image are the 3 choice images. The 2nd and 3rd, whilst lit nifvely and full of texture, do nothing compositionally for me.

Love the human element to the first image – always great to have that there to put everything into perspective, and to give it a more human feel.

I think that the last image is probably my favourite – lovely contrast between that moody sky and the sillhouette of the rocks in the distance. My only (slight) criticism is that it’s a shame it wasn’t a touch longer exposure to give the sea that silky smooth finish that you have on the first shot. THat really is a minor comment though – cracking set of shots, that I’d be really proud of, if I was you. Super sharp, and brilliantly executed. Now get yourself a frame and get them on your walls!!

Lovely shots Steve. The first is my favourite. How did you get those people to stay still for 20s? The last I like too but as earthairfire says, the others don’t attract me compositionally.

putting up multiple pictures inevetably leads to favouritism, I’d go with no.1 as the pick of the evening- but I can see them all as poster prints-

 I have to agree with jb7 .. . posting a series always leads to comparison .. so my “vote” is number 1..

    Excellent !!

Beautiful pictures, have to say No 4 would be my favourite.

Am heading up that direction on Thursday and can’t wait!

Terrific work yet again Steve. Great compostion and colour all round. These must look fantastic in print. I’ll have to take a trip there myself someday, see if I can get anything half as good.
