Thought I would try this for my first post.

It is Cal Crutchlow at Mallory Park on his first trial of the Suzuki BSB bike

    Hi Tweetbob,

nice image, good focus and sharpness- esp. as you were shooting in cloudy bright. Good exposure- nice to be able to see the eyes through the tint.

I was wondering about this convention of tilting the frame to add to the lean- I’ve noticed it quite a lot in these bike shots.
In this case I’m wondering if it adds anything to the image. If you were to bring the shot back to horizontal, then the top arm and bellypan would be parallell to the frame, you could crop tighter, and get some good tension going on around the edges of the image.
I supose it would be rude to ask if you were shooting close to full frame, so I wont, but it would be interesting to know if you’ve framed the shot like this in the camera or if you’ve applied the rotation in processing.

I reckon I’m becoming one of amcinroy’s deputies in the Horizon Police, but in this case I think it would produce a better picture.

more off the bottom, and tight to the tyre, but at this point, obviously, I’m splitting hairs-
You’d be well advised not to mind me at all really-
    Forgot to say, welcome aboard-

Great shot. I can’t decide between the level and non-level horizon… they both have something going for them!

    Very good shot!
I think that the first shot is more dramatic and dynamic.
