Tidal mud flats

This was taken in Salthill, Galway, I took it with my Canon 100-400 IS USM L at 400mm hand held and fairly open aperature, I was working on a curlew at the time and just saw the shot and tried it, fired 2 or 3 shots and thought no more of it. When it camwe to editing in photoshop i tried it in black and white and liked it, then i experimented with colour tones and when i added blue tone i liked it even more. What do you think of it?

I’d love to see it as a purely textural minimalist piece without the dark section and stream at the top. Printed big. like Art.
Though ideally it would have the kind of DOF that only comes with tripods and small apertures. (or Scheimpflug, if possible)
