Kylemore Abbey is just a fantastic setting, it’s a nice photograph I wonder how it looks now with the Autumn colors
Its a fine image. Lovely detail in the facade and some nice light in the image as well.

I lived in North Kildare for about 7yrs and I recognized Donadea, Kilcock, etc. Some really evocative
images there.I look forward to seeing your images for sure!

The trouble with this subject is that there is well over a billion images of Kylemore Abbey, as everyone whoever goes to Connemara takes almost the same pic of the place usually from the road by the lake.
I first took mine in 1990 with a Practika B1 35mm and it was great but the same as all the rest and even though i ride past the place nearly every Sunday i refuse to take another with a digital.
Your pic is surely one of the better ones and a fine pic of a good subject from a different place than the norm–well done.
As regards what it looks like now with the Autumn colours, well i could tell you as i went past yesterday but i cant see it cause it wont stop bloody raining. :?

Very fair point, Tara. I think it is probably the most predictable landscape/architecture shot I’ve taken :)
Some of my favourite photos I took over the week I spent around the Renvyle/Connemara Circle in August
are of the native flowers. I must post those in the nature section.Nice to see another budding photographer in this general neck of the woods :wink:
