I’m not keen on the composition, but the processing is VERY nice!
many thanks for the feedback gwen …
i was pleased with the way the processing went i must say, you never quite know how film that old will turn out … but it’s fun finding out :-)best
djb7ParticipantI don’t know whether you had a roll to test, or whether this was a one off chance, but its come out well- I like the colours in the emulsion-
Was this taken on a digital lens to get that vignette?
I’m a little distracted by some of the objects in the corner, and the studio light- a tiny bit closer might have removed these. I presume that you are shooting and presenting at full frame, so composition has to be correct in the camera. Its a very strict discipline.
really nice image, though-
David_SParticipanthi jb, many thanks for comments
yes shooting full frame and just caught the right hand wall in this one – as you say is a very strict discipline and one i’m slowly getting used to – learned my lesson :-)
as for lens – yip used a sigma digital to get the vignette.
best
dAliParticipantI really like this shot and love the processing. I think you can simply get away with anything in this shot. Your title and composition say it all. Indeed, it gives me the impression that someone is actually spying on the model, so why worry about distracting objects, position of the model, etc. Perfect!!!! Perfection would kill this shot, ironically.
Please tell me someone understands me :)Positive PressureMemberAs a voyeuristic style of shot, the scene looks convincing as it’s unplanned and unrehearsed. It’s like a sneek peak at a real-life scenario without glamourising it. The extra clutter at the edges of the frame give the scene more authenticity, IMHO anyway. I like it. :)

joolsveerParticipantMy understanding Ali is that it is somewhat voyeuristic and a “through the keyhole” shot. Great work.

Absolutely, couldn’t agree more.
David_SParticipantbig big thanks ali, pete and mr joolsveer ;-)
a slightly uneasy voyueristic feel was exactly what i was after and am really pleased that you guys feel that the composition and processing work in this context.
