    Hi all

I came all the way from South Africa to take a pic of a meerkat in a wildlife park in Holland!

    C&C welcome.

Very good image, but I seem to be distracted by the branch thats behind him, I find myself looking at it.The Meerkat is positioned perfect in the overall balance of the photo, the lighting is excellent and the exposure is spot on. Maybe if you included the whole branch ???Or cropped a little from the top down?

    Hmmmmm

Pretty cool, and chilled out little guy :D

I actually prefer the original crop and would have asked if the full curve of the branch was possible to include. But sure, I’m no wildlife expert but I’m just back from the camera club – Chris Weston giving a talk on wildlife photography and now i want to take one of his workshops in Africa next year :D

Lovely shot whatever way you decide to crop it :)

I preffer the colours and temperature of the first shot, I don’t mind the branch at all…

Great capture even if it is in holland!

I like the crop to be honest now im drawn in by the Meerkat. Everyone has their own oppinion on photos, but it is all down to whatever the Author/Photogrpaher likes. If it was mine and I like the original, then I would leave it.

I prefer the original shot the branch seems to provide a frame for the meerkat. I also prefer the colouring in the original pic. Lovely shot.

Indeed, I much prefer with-branch. But that’s just me. :)
