New light meter for DSLRs AllinthemindParticipant November 13, 2006 at 11:44 am It has been a source of perturbation in recent years with the rise of DSLRs, that light meters do not parallel the sensor in their responses to different intensities of light. http://www.sekonic.com/products/products.asp?ID=130 Sekonic seem to now admit this and have evolved a meter that can be calibrated against a DSLR. Si Hope they bring out a 308 equivalent. FrankCParticipant November 13, 2006 at 1:24 pm Looks very interesting, as I am looking to buy a meter at the moment. But it seems very expensive at GB?450 (warehouseexpress). PeteTheBlokeMember November 13, 2006 at 2:15 pm FrankC wrote: Looks very interesting, as I am looking to buy a meter at the moment. AllinthemindParticipant November 13, 2006 at 2:57 pm ..and you can calibrate it to the same “Curve” as your camera at different isoS! a MATE HAS ORDERED ONE FOR LESS THAN ?400 Oops, reprographics maybe? SI FrankCParticipant November 24, 2006 at 12:21 pm Still trying to decide if it’s worth the extra. B&H are doing the L758 for $499 and the L358 (my original choice) for $259. What do you all think ?
