What a pity……..I had a post here just a few weeks ago looking for just that item. When none turned up I bought a new one. Anyway…….if you have a studio and lighting then one should consider this as it gets your lights and cables off the floor and easier to move about when necessary.

Well I hope i’m not overstepping the line here by quoting prices ………. if I am, Ali, Steve, Mark, feel free to edit this.

I bought the Elinca version from Paddy Barker. Its the very same as the Bowens in every way just that its black in colour. It cost ?1500 incl VAT for a 3 light system. I was quoted around ?2000+VAT for the Bowens version (3 light system) from DML at the show in the Clarion Hotel in July/August. As they are a fairly specialist item I’m not sure what a second hand one is worth …… the market is probably limited……..but I’m sure someone is looking for one and its not an item that wears out easily so new or secondhand there will be little difference……..unless someone painted the ceiling and painted over it…which I’ve seen done..LOL. Certainly the price you quote here is reasonable and good value for money if the kit is in good condition.

    Hi Tuanua
I know of a photographer whom was askin me about my highglide and was quite interested in acuiring one be it the bowens or a generic copy. I must say its a great piece of kit and really is a must for anybody working with children in the studio. I spent around 2,000 plus when i got it nearly a year ago but i would say 700 is fair for a bowens version. I will be talking to him soon so i will spread the word.
    Ben
