I think they have very vibrant colours, a big variety of Mushrooms/Fungi and well composed shots
I suppose my only gripe is that the last two look over saturated/Sharpened??

Some great shot there. Much better than the generic ‘fields of flowers’ that you always see when people return from Holland.

Agree with steelydan about the saturation, maily just the green that sticks out too much.

I really like no.3. Can’t tell if they’re over sharpened or not (pics are too small) but I like the saturation. It works for me in these shots.

Nice clear fungi, but a bit highly-coloured for me, so that they seem a bit artificial, as though for a stage setting.

What’s going on in #4 top right. Makes my eyes go funny [more than usual]

That’s the result of a cheap lens unfortunately… :( (I used a Sigma 70-300 APO for these shots in MACRO setting. I’m getting similar distortions on other shots with the same lens.

I kinda like high saturation and a lot of contrast, you’ll see it in most of my portfolio. I know not everybody likes that, but it’s just personal preference.

    Thanks for all the comments.

I agree about strong colours. As soon as I got my Canon s3!S I turned to vivid and stayed there. And I use the polariser as often as poss. Each to her [or his]own.

Holland… mushrooms…I see… well, no I am not implying anything… Amsterdam.. who said Amsterdam?!!! :D

Interesting DOF, everything in focus between the camera and the subject, and very strong burring immediately after the subject. I like the third one the most. I am kinda hoping to buy that lens to be honest (is all what I can afford now..)

Oh you won’t be disappointed, it’s a good lens for the money. I just needed more range at the time and it was all I could afford as well. I’m not trying to complain about the lens, it served me well… (and still does).
