Great site, does your photography justice.

Images are nicely balanced between quality and file size… loads nice and quick.

Just one thing… you have right-click disabled on your site, to prevent images being downloaded… Sure it will stop a few people… but there is no real way to prevent people from taking images off your site… once you put an image online, it’s available to anyone who really wants it. Save page as, print-screen, temp internet files etc… you can even re-enable the right-click if you know how. Would you consider watermarking them, or would that just ruin them?

    Thanks for the comments Jay.
Some interesting points and it’s certainly something I have thought long and hard about. The right click block would possibly be enough to deter the casual web surfer but yes as you say if some1 really wants an image, there are ways to get it. Watermarking landscapes…. the reason I didn’t was because I thought it would take away from the image. My road racing images are however watermarked as they have a habit of appearing on rider’s sites without me knowing. I’m only too happy to supply them stuff for their websites if they have the courtesy of asking me 1st.

    Thanks for your feedback. :D

    Hi Steven,

Nice site. Do you know Stephen Davison by any chance?…he’s another road racing snapper from the north. I’ve met him a few times in Macau…he shoots the bikes while I’m there for the F3 boys. A good guy. Just wondering if he had a website or email address. I missed out on Macau this year for the first time in 3 years. He always has great stuff from the weekend.

    Cheers,

    Hi Mark

    Thanks for the comments.
Yeah I know Stephen, he is a good guy and a smashing photographer. His website is currently under construction, should have his e-mail somewhere which I’ll look out for you. His company is Pacemaker Press, if you google it you should find the Web page.

Looks good Steven. I have been using Photium for about 5 months, and Northscape have also recently switched to use the service. I wish they would offer more templates though, because now our sites are the same lol!
