Gorgeous B+W and I really like the composition with the tree/reflection and the bank on the left. I’m a bit dubious about the large shadow that comes in from top right. I can’t even work out why it might be there.
its just the tone of the sky – if it were colour it would be the deep polarised looking blue. I did the BW conversion using the red channel which gives this black sky effect.. make sense ?

Hi Lorraine, lovely pic, tho might tend to agree with Pete-
also, the 2:3 in portrait might be a bit severe- have you considered a 1:1.6, taking a little off the top?
It might just balance it up a little-You could try to deal with that polarized sky with a graduated vector mask on a contrast layer, to make the graduation a little more vertical, though maybe not totally vertical, to balance the cloud on the left.
Good pic though, and another example of your individual compositional style in the vertical format-

Botton two thirds of pic is great. Agree about the sky top right though – would not be a problem it there was nice moody cloud formation there

Lovely shot Lorraine… I agree with jb maybe a bit of a crop would help it a wee bit… not that it really needs it all the same…!
