I certainly wont lie as that wouldnt be kind in the long run.
I would crop just a little off the left of the image and maybe the bottom just to get rid of the corner of the building on the left and that shadow on the bottom.
Bottom line is I like this image, I like the strong angled lines and the image overall is nice and clean.

I don’t know what program you’re using to edit this, there’s no Exif, but I would also rotate/ transform to get the spire vertical.
It looks like the image is over compressed, the sky is getting posterised-
Good shot though, shows potential.
Maybe a couple of steps to the right might have helped composition, by making the relationship of the door to the spire less vertical, but thats for next time-
thanks guys – i should have said i have a crappy little digital camera. thinking about buying a decent camera for myself so i will check out the advice on equipment. this website is great. thanks again for the advice. as for compressing it is just software on my work computer – picture manager. needed to compress the photo to upload the file.
