PeteTheBlokeMemberLovely, sharp shooting. No.3 is a really interesting “pose” – shame you missed the wingtips.
joe_elwayParticipantNicely shot. You very nearly got a great one with #3. I like #2 a lot because you got lots of sharp detail but the eye really makes a difference. In focus and catchlight bringing it to life.
RobMemberStunning work Richie. Really sharp and great dof, terrific shooting. Mind posting the exif data too?
richiehatchMemberCheers guys… I have added a small amount of EXIF data for those interested…!

RobMemberAh.. thanks Richie. Not much chance of camera shake at those shutter speeds 8)
richiehatchMemberDead right Rob…. And ye know what I actually had the IS switched on… didnt need it at those speeds… I shot them in Aperature priority for some reason…? Would have been better off in TV where I pick the speed and let the camera pick the aperature. Metering was at partial and I think I dialed in +2/3rd exposure comp to capture the whites correctly. A little bit of the usual editing in PS but they are pretty much full frame!

griangrafParticipantRichie,
I really like these. Pity as you say about no. 3. Detail is superb on number 2 particularly.

AliParticipantshutterbugParticipantAll three are terrific, but I think the third one is the best, doesnt really matter that you
dont have all of the bird, though it would have been nice, you did great to get as much
as you did. I love the red beak and legs really stands out, the shadow of his wing is really
neat.Shutterbug
tara1MemberClseeperParticipantAs with all the above comments, #3 could have been a real beauty.
I think #1 is my fav, like the contrast with the colour in the background. Very jealous of your kit, especially the lens.
