Odd viewpoint you got there, but nice. Think though, if you were a stranger looking at that photo….what would you think that they would be. I know cos….well I know what it is. But for a stranger, I don’t think that they would find them as appealing.
I like it, it is busy lots to look at, I like the top of it best where you can see the statue and the light lines, you could have
posted it in abstract!
Interesting photo. It’s confusing for someone who hasn’t seen the i.e. me! It looks like the legs of a very tall elephant.
You’ve coped pretty well with difficult light and, all-in-all, I think it’s a good shot. I’d like to see some crops concentrating on different parts, I think.
I know this spot well,
but have seldom been there sober-
usually talking drivel to the next person in the taxiQ at 4.30 am…
There are a few things I’d find worrisome,
but it probably says more about me than the picture-
The first is the nozzle in the centre-
I’d be tempted to take the brass off it,
maybe PS it to make it disappear as much as possible-
secondly, I think the statue in the backround needs to be framed in its space;
its partially merging with the sculpture in front.
I’d agree with the others though,
very good shot,
and a very unusual view-
j
ps I remember when this sculpture was first erected-
it was subject to regular attacks with bottles of washing up liquid-
massive foaming across Dame St.-
thankfully not so much these days-
