Taking some photos of glass products for a friends business & just to practise & help him out really. (free of course)
Have my new studio light tent/cube & 2 lights & backdrops etc, have the canon 30d & macro lens f/2.8 100.
Tried out a few shots last night but most shots seem to be very white I think this is due to the flash

Sorry if this is a simple query, any advice?

Can you post some examples so that we can see the problem?

I needed photos of glass for a client’s website and the photographer had similar problems. I’m not sure what the answer is. Would a polarising filter help a bit?

When you say very white do you mean overexposed?

Taking some more tonight/twomorrow & will post some them.
First time doing product photos so I am probably doing it all wrong!

Not sure if its overexposed or the flash is causing the problem

    Thanks for the help.

If the flash is pointing directly at the glass, then it’s very likely that’s going to be a large part of it.

    Merv.
