    Willow, aged 4.

Fast paced, eager, inquisitive, happy, short life.
    Appetite like a wolf.

Held at bay many a dog, many times her size
with the most threatening of snarls,
and the display of her canines,
worn flat from her obsession of chewing stones.

    Bi-lingual (gaelge agus bearla)
Loved nature programmes on the telly,
watched ‘Lassie Come Home’ today, her last taste of televisual entertainment.

    Very un-ladylike.
    For a lady.

    Will be sorely missed.
    C&C not necessary or important.

    To Suzie, aged 11,

Going today, being put down in an hour.

Silly mutt, had a habit of sleeping across doorways, thus tripping evryone who decided to use the same door. Loved playing fetch up until last year when her arthritis began to get severe.

Was my mothers shadow for 11 years, been by her side through good times and bad times.

Feels a bit bizarre. Waiting for the executioner (vet) at the moment. Even have a grave dug and a coffin made.

Today is’nt going to be great.

    thanks guys,
sorry to hear about yours too constantine,
even Emperor Popes get the blues-

    lovely dogs,
though whenever anyone asked me what it was,
all I could tell them was that it was a black one.
There’s alot of them about though-

How sad. My eyes are pricking. I’ve never owned a dog but have formed friendships with one or two and know that the unquestioning loyalty of their affection is hard to beat. I hope your pain doesn’t last too long.

I love dogs, and have had dogs all my life (at least my previous life) lost a few in the way so I know what you are going through…

Very sad to hear, hope you overcome this soon…

    All the best,

    Very sad :(

I have a dog myself who I love to bits so I can understand how hard it would be to lose such a great companion.

    Thanks everybody, appreciate the sentiment,
Little bit better now that I’ve buried her,
    But this time yesterday
she was the life and energy around here,
very sad and quiet now without her-

    To keep it in perspective,
    far worse things happen-
but this is a lesson that you never really know when-

    many thanks-

    Thanks all for your thoughts.

Just buried Suzie, really tough watching her be put to sleep, brought out emotions I thought I didn’t have for the oul mutt.

Oh well, life blunders on I suppose….

    Normal transmisson will resume shortly
