Hi, I’m pretty new here-well I joined yesterday.
I haven’t yet worked out which buttons to press to add pics to this page(My only excuse would be old age)
But there’s quite a few landscape shots on my new (temporary ) site
    Best wishes

    Hi Ric

    Welcome on board.
If you just click the ” Add image to post” under the box you type the text into. Click Browse to select the file on your computer and then click “Upload”. It’s that simple.
You have some nice images on your website. Looking forward to seeing you post a image or two.

    Hi Ric,
welcome to the Forum. You have some fantastic photos on your web. Connemara land and sea and the Hooker art have beautiful and original pictures.
My favourites are the tree with the mountain behind (co3) , the boats (ha10), the detail shots of the wild water……
Your photos have very nice dramatic atmosphere.

    Hi Ric,

First of all, welcome to the forums… really nice to have someone with your experience (not old age) in the boards.
In regards to adding an Image Neil preety much explained how to do it and if you have any troubles you can always contact Mark, SteveD or Ali and they will lend you their helping hand.

As to your “temporary” website, I like it alot, like the simple design yet very functional. Also the quality of your work is absolutely fantastic. You earned yourself a fan!

Wishing you all the best and a Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy 2007.
Also Best of Luck for your exibition in february, Donegal is a bit far for me, but if I can I will try and show up there… who knows…

    Regards,

    Rod

This was one of a series that I did for an exhibition a couple of years ago, the others are spread across the ‘Hooker Art’ & ‘Connemara Sea’ sections of
    my web site.
In the mean time here are some of the Christmas cards I’ve been sending this year.
    Have fun.

p.s. The shot – good shot, has Paddy ‘Shoulders’ sitting in the boat whilst his mate handles the ‘Starting pistol’-yes, a shot gun, usually used by Paddy to get the respect the “Official Starter” deserves !!!!

It’s interesting that some respondants feel I most of the colour in some of my pics-“just because I can”
I have to earn a living from my work and anyone who has tried to sell photography through galleries
will tell you it’s very difficult and even then they sell for very low prices-They like paintings.
My work sells for ?300+ per pic because they are different.
As an example here is the same pic, the original and the reworked one.
    Guess which one sells.

    Hiya Ric,

When you invite comments on your work in these forums,
you can expect to get a range of personal opinions
from people who have more than a passing interest in photography.

I’m glad you’re selling your work,
    and that people are hanging it on their walls;
you’re right to disregard critique if it doesn’t apply to you.

Whatever opinion any one of us has individually
can never be a match for the supreme test of the market.
