If you’re the kind of person who loves taking gadgets apart to see ‘how they tick’ or just wondered about the intricicies of a modern DSLR, then the following, dissection of a 20D might be of interest. The assembly operations for these cameras must be phenomenal. :o

Looks like the kind of thing i woulld have a have a lot of small bits left over when I would have it put back together…….kinda like the first mechanical clock that i “repaired”. LOL
I got curious about my dad’s Pentax S1a one day as I love all that mechanical gadgetry & stuff (all of my [small collection of] watches are mechanical or automatic too). Got as far as taking off one of the exterior plates, removing about half a dozen screws (noting where each one went back in, of course) and then no further. At all. I turned one of the screwy things that I couldn’t remove about half a turn, with a few audible clicks, and that was that. Shutter release was jammed, and the wind on lever had nothing to wind on. I quietly replaced the screws and plate, and put the camera back in it’s case, and several years later my dad still hasn’t asked about it, so there might be time yet to get it properly repaired!
