Shot this little guy yesterday…it was for an adoption agency. They do domestic and international adoptions. The photos are used for promos and enlargements for thier walls in thier office. They are on the fence this round if they want to go color – bw , 8×10 or 11×14………I just thought Charlie had a great look and was a very very happy kid.
BethscottParticipantHey this is so sweet, heart warming to see the little fella so happy despite what he is going through…keep up the good work!
RobMemberFantastic expression Tim and well caught. Charlie looks like a very happy child indeed; bet he’s a laugh
a minute. The exposure looks pretty good to me (what do I know?), but there’s still something that doesn’t sit
quite right with the image. I think you really needed to have gotten lower on the shot as Charlie is almost
leaning into the frame as well as looking over your head. Just a personal preference, but I’d also be tempted
to lighten his irises slightly to contrast more with the dark backdrop.Rob.
fstop89564ParticipantThanks Rob
I have not really played with anything yet with this photo. After the shoot we had birthday parties etc to go to and with it being cold and raining we were trying to keep our 6 year and 2.6 year old busy the rest of the weekend. I did get from my contact the size will be 11×14……….color / bw is still up. If you want to have a go at it….go for it…….or anyone else for that matter
I just thought Charlie had a great look………..very outgoing little chap.thomasMembernice picture Tim
maybe the white chair is a bit much,
dunno, maybe throw a blanket over it next time ?hope things turn good for Charlie
he looks a happy kid :)ThorstenMemberI’ve opened images that are hosted on postimage.org in the past and have always had some sort of problem – too big, or site not available or something else, so that’s put me off viewing full sized images hosted there for good  So I’m basing my comments on the thumbnail I see above. Looks like a cute kid (aren’t they all at that age!). I agree with the earlier comment re. the white chair – it does draw the eye from the main subject because it’s so bright. Maybe that’s something that could be addressed in PP.
paperdollParticipantfstop – I almost forgot my manners – you posted a photo for critique and I didn’t comment in my previous post. Looks like a cracker to me, nicely portrays a cute and cuddly kid, and I wish him all the best. I’m not especially technical myself, but some of the others have already given their thoughts in that regards. :D
fstop89564ParticipantThanks for the kind on the photo.
As stated earlier I just posted it because I was able to capture the personality of this child. He is a happy go lucky little guy who during the first part of his short life had been total hell. Then he was adopted and through it all he has always kept a great outlook. Sure he is 10 months or so so will he remember
the first part of his life……..no………will it be a problem later on in life……….more than likely not………..Will he keep his positive outlook……….I would say
yes……..he appears to have or will have that outlookMarkKeymasterThread is back folks minus the offensive comment and the responses which are of course
now out of context without the original comment. Anyhow, I’ve kept the moderated replies where possible. I can’t do that easily with the edits
unfortunately. For what its worth, Absolon will no longer be frequenting this site. He/she is no longer welcome!
If anyone has anything further to say on this issue, please PM me directly so as not to pollute Tim’s thread any further
Thanks
