I found Impala, Tommies, Grants, etc impossible to shoot. There’s loads of them around if you’re at the right place and right time but it’s a matter of getting a shot that is interesting. I never really got that.

This shot works for me. You’ve captured a moment between the two Impala, and it’s really well taken. It looks like you’re in a shaded location but you’v exposed it right and got the eye of the one at the back. Good DOF to get all the detail of the two animals too.

I wonder about the crop… would a complete shot work or what about the rear of the animal at the back being cropped out. I kee coming back to thinking that you’ve done it right though.

Beautiful shots John. These are really mythical looking animals in my book. Can’t help imaging that they must have had something to do with the Unicorn legend (and i know they have two horns..before someone says it.. )

You’ve captured them perfectly at a really gentle moment. Well done.

Really like this shot John its lovely and sharp but has a softness to its composition. As shutterbug says they have beautiful faces.
