Hmmm…odd saying this, but I like the bottom half more than anything. It’s the blue in the sky that doesn’t work for me. I think if you converted it to b/w and upped the contrast….and tried to sort out the odd pixelation in the sky? that might work?

I like the pattern in the sea…which might look good if you actually kept that hint of blue in it but still with a conversion for the rest of it to b/w

Ohh and another note….try a dark gradient from the top to cut the glare off that top cloud…

I’m with Johnny all the way. Can’t add much to what he’s already said.

Not a big fan of the shot as is, but think there’s definately a decent shot hidden in there!

    Hope it helps!

My first thought was, “What a smashing photo”.

On closer inspection, the quality just doesn’t look good enough to print. The sky looks like a 256 colour bitmap.

I hope you have a high res version with better detail in it.

I’d have to echo Pete’s comments,
    looks like a lovely subject,
and the water, and the mist over it, is sublime-

    However, there are artefacts everywhere,
which would lead me to suspect
that there has been some pretty high compression going on here somewhere-

Too bad you didn’t borrow one of your grandad’s paperweights for this one :D

Same for me here. At first glance the image looks fantastic, composition, subject matter, framing.
But it’s the quality that’s let you down here. Almost looks as though it was taken with a camera phone.
Aside from that it still makes a very attractive image, but I doubt it would print well.

    Rob.
