DH Mountain Biking – Moneyscalp

Its time the sport thread had a bit more action. Here are a few shots of the Winter League from Moneyscalp Forest in the Mournes.
This is a rider called ‘Wee Jonny’, although he doesn’t look particularly ‘wee’.
Ewan ‘Doc’ Doherty. He’s a junior rider, aged 17, and put in the fastest time of the day by 2 seconds. Not bad, considering the top 5 elite riders all finished on the same second at 1:19!! Probably the sharpest shot I got all day.
The final picture is Stevo Beattie. Elite rider for Team Real Cycles/Commencal. Which happens to be the shop I work at. This one will probably be used for some publicity, and the Commencal (bike brand) guys seem interested in using it. Technically its perhaps not great (and I could appreciate your comments), but it captures the atmosphere of DH riding, and has the Commencal logo clearly in shot, which was its indended purpose!
(There’s a good chance the colours aren’t showing great. Lets just say, I’m having issues…
