Paphos Castle Sunset

Snagged this one when I was in Cyprus just before New Year’s… it might have been freezing, but the clouds were just lovely.
RobMemberThis is absolutely gorgeous Antifuse, incredible sky, razor of a horizon, overall really sharp with plenty of detail. Only change I’d like to see would be to crop away that extra space to the left of the castle as it doesn’t really add anything to the image. Might be worth cloning out the tourists in the turret too; that or have them shot.
Nice work.

Madra RuaParticipantI’m with Robb on this one. Nice and sharp, great clouds and great light.
But I wouldn’t shoot the tourists.
Just clone them out, together with the railing going across the top… put the thing back into the 14th century!ajParticipantjoe_elwayParticipantReally well taken and I like the composition too. The wall is a great lead in. Did you use any filters or edits to get this colour in the sky? Before I read Rob’s comments I was thinking “gotta get rid of the tourists”. I’d have a look at cloning out the small think that is sticking out of the walkway on the left (and it’s reflection) too.
Great shot and a suitable reward for venturing out in to the cold.
FlipflipParticipantHey. Lovely shot. But first thing I thought too was pity about the people.
Apart from that, I wouldnt change anything else.

I said the same when I came back from Paris.
Gorgeous photo, by the way.

Hahaha. Too true.
Cheese eating surrender monkeys. Hahaha.

Er, but they might be Mrs Antifuse or some little Antifuses.
I love the light on the rocks in front
nolongerParticipantQuick and dirty photoshop job (well, I got really lazy on the left hand side) taking some advice into consideration:
And no, those tourists weren’t little Antifuses nor Mrs. Antifuse… there are no little Anti’s around that I’m aware of, and the Mrs was somewhere to the left, much closer :)
nolongerParticipantOh, and no filters or anything… this is from-camera, just some levels work in the RAW processing for a bit more contrast.
