Was looking through some ol’ work from last year and came across these…and thought some of you might be interested in seeing them.

What they are, is that I printed the two on photocopiers…and got some cellulose thinner and then rubbed (got dizzy) and transfered to paper…

I like them. Specially the second photo, it because the ‘line effect’ does not going through the face.
    very interesting effect.

For what it’s worth Johnny I think they’re both stunning.
    Great experimental work.

Very nice, like the second one more, but both are top class, any chance you could give a little more info on how this effect was achieved.

Heya…it’s pretty much as I said. It’s a photograph printed out on Xerox inks…(a laserjet or photocopier will do…) and you put the image flat down on a sheet of paper (the image is transfered the other way around)…you dap some cellulose thinner on the back with a cotton bud or something similar. And then use something to transfer pressure down, transferring the ink ontop the paper below…

Just make sure you do it outside, as the cellulose thinner is pretty smelly and toxic..

Nice pictures, I like a lot its mood and light, very expressive. Interesting effect, but in my opinion it doesn’t work with these particular images. They would be great on their own and maybe another content could suit this effect better. Good work no matter what I say.

Gosh these are fantastic shots I really love the mood and the effect. Certinaly could start a debate about the need for photoshop. I would say getting Dizzy was well worth getting a result like this you must be quite proud of these.
