AiscathParticipant
Off to Sligo for w/e. Any tips on places to practice my photography?
CheersMikeanywhereParticipantTheres the waterfall at Glencar to head to, pretty dramatic stuff indeed all around there
AiscathParticipantExpresbroParticipantI know Mark Capilitan is based in Sligo for one…so if he is around he might be able to give you some local tips Ciara.
If not..you could always look up yer woman Aine from the Podge and Rodge show (and Boards.ie fame)..she seems to be well familiar with Sligo’s scenic charms…

8)AiscathParticipantI see this site is not just about photography…..some good wit about. Cheers!!
ExpresbroParticipantMadra RuaParticipantHi Ciara, these are a few scenic places in Sligo I know from my own experience:
Anywhere in Glencar (including the waterfall),
Benbulben and Kings Mountain from all sides,
Knocknaree,
take a trip around Lough Gill (lots of great spots there),
Carrowmore megalithic cemetary
Mullaghmore and Mulaghmore HeadGood luck,

Handy site for some ideas and gives some good info on the actually location of the shots.
joe_elwayParticipantThere’s a bird of prey centre there that I’d love to visit. Only one I know of in the country.
AiscathParticipantThanks all for the responses looking forward to taking loads of pics…..have seen some beautiful shots of sligo on this site.
