More Like an Autumn Road than a Street

This is one of those pics that I like but there are a couple of things in it that I can’t quite make my mind up about….
Your comments and Critique?
Thanks
DaveRobMemberDave,
The colours in this are fantastic, as is the overall composition in my humble
opinion. Oddly enough, it’s one of those images that might actually have
worked better without the walker in it. I do notice that it seems to be a little
skewed though and I’d be tempted to rotate it a degree or so clockwise.Rob.
ExpresbroParticipantIs there such a thing as “Lane Photography” ?
Fantastic colours Dave..really eyecatching and warm.
I love the walker in it…but then I love to see people in shots. The only thing that doesn;t sit with me is the pink/red sign on the wall on the right. The colour just seems to stick out amongst all the other autumnal shades.

8)RobertoMemberVery nice colours and composition.
I am with Robbie about the pink sign.wavydaveMemberThanks guys…the sign is what bothered me a bit but then I thougt it pointed nicely to the walking man. I must take it out and see how it looks…and I will have to do that rotation as well..thanks for that Rob as I hadn’t really noticed.
So…. what do you think of this one?
Dave
RobertoMemberSorry Dave, don’t like the second photo too much.
It looks like that the effect is over done. Only, the ‘bridge’ looks nice.ExpresbroParticipantIf it was a watercolour or a pastel I’d say it was excellent, but I’m personally not a fan of these kind of artistic filters Dave…they can be fun..but I don’t think they add anything to the photography really.
First one for me still :D
Not Pete the blokeParticipantI love that first one, although I might prefer it in more original form just with boosted saturation but no blur.
AllinthemindParticipantLovely colours in the first one, I think the composition/framing lets it down a bit.

andy mcinroyParticipantHi Dave,
I like the feel to this one and I think the gentleman adds something refreshing.
I would have a few small comments about the composition, mainly about the rotation and framing. I would have been tempted to have shot from beyond the ladder and sign.
The tree colours are lovely though and the rest of the scene is nice and simple.
Nice one.
