Lovely shots! The middle one is my favourite… the sky is just gorgeous!
RodcunhaParticipantLove the light in the first shot but preffer the composition on the second, two great shots nevertheless…
The third one looks a bit underexposed to me, but at the moment I’m not on a calibrated monitor so can’t really tell…
Regards,
Rod
joe_elwayParticipantGreat timing. I think urban shots look best as dusk/dawn, preferably dusk. #2 is exposed beautifully. Is it a HDR shot?
#1: Great sky. Would have given slight more to the sky so that the reflections were still in shot but with less of a gap in the bottom. Those verticals! Look at the tower.
#2: Like I said, my fave. Great exposure. Almost perfect for me. Would have liked more room for the reflections … the Hilton is cut off. Verticals …. look at the Hilton compared to the frame.
#3: Needed a slower shutter speed. Too dark.
You can fix those verticals in PS but you do loose part of the shot. Best to be sure the camera is set up horizontally. You can get one of those little spirit levels for the flash mount, a tripod head with a level built in, or just use the AF points or the edges/bottom of the viewfinder to measure against known verticals/horizontals.

DeeboParticipantExcellent shots. I pass this everyday on me way to work and usually take a few snaps. But they are usually dull day time pics. These have given me a few ideas and hope to try some night shots soon
