The townland of Broughshane

One here from the archives, taken at the foot of Slemish mountain overlooking the townland of Upper & Lower Broughshane. I work about 1 mile from here. My main concern with this image is the triangular shaped roof which is at the carpark at the foot of the mountain, I’ve tried cloning it out but could never really get it to look right, so I’ve left it in. But now my eye keeps getting drawn to it. What do you think? Is it too much of a distraction?

Steven, I wouldn’t mind seeing a larger version of this to really get an opinion of the roof.

From what I can see it really appeals to me. Lovely atmosphere.

As always with the photos I see of you the exposure,
light, texture, composition seems to be spot on.

    Hi Steven,

I dont mind the roof at all. I didn’t even notice it prior to reading your comment. On the other side, why not to vipe it out in photoshop? Maybe some would say that it wouldn’t be a real picture then, but I think that You are the artist, and you can do whatever with your piece of art. This is just my opinion, someone might have completely different.

As for the composition, it would be interesting to include the sun. The left hand side is already hazed by the sunrays, and my eye expects to see what causes this haze. It brings tension (for me unwanted) to the picture.

    nice weekend,

    Thanks for the feedback.
Tomas – I take onboard your comments regarding the sun. Thanks.
