Sorry to go against the general consensus here Steve, but I don’t
feel this is anywhere close to your usual standard, not by a long chalk.
While it is tonally pleasing, well composed and captured, I’m afraid
there isn’t really any definitive focal point to capture my interest. If this
was a print in the middle of a whole bunch of prints, I’d probably just
flick past this one and move on to the next.
There’s a sort of haze, which hasn’t helped to give the image any real
depth, leaving it rather flat overall. There again, perhaps I need a
visit to specsavers, but it ain’t working for me. Sorry..
This appeals to me.
Lovely colour in the sky, nice silhouettes of the trees.
I also like the fact that you can see what appears to be the hills in the distance…
