    Hi all
I got my new studio gear today, Lights, risers backdrps etc…
The following are the first set shots from my set up.

I have also changed my workflow and have started using Aperture 1.5 a bot more.

Please leave any feed back and let me know what i can improve upon.

    Thanks
    Darren

The lighting on the last one is great, if you could use that for the first shot it would look a lot better.I find the first shot very dark…….unless thats what yer aiming for :) What scale are the models…1/32 ?

The first one was taken as a dark shot to give a different effect. Coming out of the darkness as it were.

Model scales were from 1/18 for the middle two
1/36 for the first and last

    Great 1st post for C&C!

Is the reflection natural, or added afterwards?

The 2nd is my favourite, due to composition – I find the angle of the first a little odd, and botht the 1st and last are too close to the edge of the frame for my liking.

Love the light on all of them!

all reflections are natural, only edits were to resize, levels, crop, pretty much straight from the camera

Hrmm, I find the first one a bit too dark as well. If you were going for “coming out of the dark” I think it would have been a bit better if the shadow was more dramatic on the back of the car. As it is, to me it just feels like it wasn’t fully lit properly. And while I can appreciate wanting to get the full reflections into the shot, it does feel a bit like you sacrificed the main subject’s placement in the frame in order to achieve that effect. Still, a very nice first post. :)

I find the first two a wee bit dark too. The third one is a cracker – reflections on the body are great and lighting is spot on- Also looks that wee bit sharper than the rest? Looking forward to seeing more.

    Hi all
Ok slightly changed as i fixed the problem i was having. I have changed the images and would like very much for some C&C if possible.

    Cheers

The Ferrari and the phone are great, somethin about the toothpaste though….maybe some mint leaves scattered around the tube? The lighting looks great

Excellent shots. The car and phone are perfect.
I have phobia of that particular toothpaste so i am
going to have to ignore that one.

    The others are great though
