Well spotted image Ciaran.
I think that there is too much space in the forground and would crop this out to make it a little bit more square type format if you get me.Regards.

Yup, this is probably the most common comment that I’ve received on this shot. It’s not an excuse as such, but I personally like the way he’s bang central in the frame. Losing the foreground and going square would change this… but I guess it may be time to bite the bullet and take the advice of the masses.
Thanks for commenting.
fstop89564ParticipantI would have to agree on one hand with the bottom of the frame HOWEVER on the other hand it shows to me how big the world can be to such a small child….either way nice shot as usual
nolongerParticipantI like the blurry foreground. It gives it a bit more impact in the “lost child” aspect of it.
ExpresbroParticipantI’d be with Tim and Ryan on this one. I think the added foreground adds to the idea of a little boy in a big world.
I wouldn’t crop it…even if technically it breaks the rules :D

wavydaveMemberI agree with Antifuse and Expresbro in that in my opinion the foreground adds to the space and the sense that the child is lost.
