I really like the intensity of the colours in this one, an almost
surreal quality about them. And as you say yourself, the wet/dry
patterns create another point of interest in this image.
Compositionally I’m not so sure about it though. Almost every
image we see of Stormont from this frontal aspect relies on symmetry as
its… let’s call it a binding agent, the glue that holds the image
together as it were. For me, your right-of-centre lead in doesn’t quite
hit the mark, and the symmetrical lines are so strong that they actually
deceive the eyes and create the illusion that the image isn’t straight,
which of course it is!
