Flash wont pop up on my canon 400d

hi all – has anyone had problems with the flash not popping up on their canon 400d? i have tried in several modes and pressed the flash button and nothing :( i have only had the camera less than 3 months :cry:
When you say you have tried several modes, have you tried P, Av, Tv, M mode and then pressed the flash button?
If the flash will not pop up while pressing the flash button in any of these modes then I think you might have a problem with your camera.thanks carl – i will try it one more time when i get home but i think it is my camera!
One more thing Mel,
As far as I know there might be a tiny switch on the hotshoe that stops the built-in flash from popping up while you have an external flash attached. If this is the case it might be stuck down.just a thought.
