    Well Folks,

I figured I better jump back on the horse and get posting.
Here is another “Street Performer” shot from the wanderings of Ciaran
    at the weekend.

Feel free to roast me – -I’m getting used to it.

Cropping is a bit too tight for my taste in this pic. I would like to see all of that guitar and have some “space” aroud the dogs.
I do like emotion on this pic.

out of topic: I walked by this trio on satururday, and pointed out that those dogs were extremely nice, trying to make friend with people :)

    Hi Susie,

you are bang on with the cropping comment.
Unfortunately this was the way I shot it. I was suffering
from novice syndrome when taking this shot. there was
a lot of foot traffic walking across the shot and I snapped
quickly instead of waiting for right shot.
It’s all about the learning curve.

I have a few shots of that guy as well Graham..and ya can’t see his eyes in any of them. He certainly wore that cap well down the head…

I’m with ya on the on framing…did pretty much the same thing myself…

Sure we’re only young cadets on the sea of Photography life… :sick …hehehe!!

    Cadets – I like that.
It’s all about learning. I’m heading out this weekend.
( Hopefully witha new lense ) and I will know what to watch for and I will
take my time when taking the shots.
I used to take dozens of shot and hope one came out right. Now I know that if you take it
right once you will not need multiple shots to play with.

That’s the beauty of digital photography, you can keep clicking away. Just to be on the safe side. :)

    Hiya Graham

I agree about the crop, but I think thats a difficult one to do anyway – getting him and the dogs etc ..

My niggle is I can’t really see much of his face…firstly because its turned away … which I don’t mind so much .. eye contact isn’t always what you want.. but I wonder – the white area where the sun is hitting him looks a little on the hot side to me – (also perhaps on the dogs ) – I have a poop screen in work though .. so it could be me ..?

    Keep ’em coming :)

Fair point Lorainne, the light on the dog is abit much.
I’m in same boat with my work machine – I have CS2 on it, but is a bit slow
( running Vista ). I’m going to edit when I get home to comfort of my MAC.

Any tips and what steps I should be taking.
