erinParticipant
This is my first picture in this forum. It was taken in Portugal, like all my pictures, in Sintra. Hope you like it :)
The peace of the woods was music to our hearts
Echoing the sound of the streams
Autumn leaves, the voice on the wind
As nature is the source of our lovejb7ParticipantHi Erin,
welcome to the forum,
great colours in this one,
though I’d be tempted to maximize the impact
by chopping out the stone at the bottom-I had a quick look at your website,
and very accomplished it looks too,
but my connection has slowed right down for some reason,
so I didn’t get through it all.Love the avatar too-

LoGillParticipantHi Erin,
Welcome to the forum.. I hope you will enjoy it :)
The colours are gorgeous in this shot… I looked at it a few times but couldn’t put my finger on what bugged me, but JB hit the nail on the head suggesting the crop.. (He’s a bit clever like that ;) )
Your website is great .. I loved the film strip – the one you call Echoes is my favourite ..
Happy Posting!

erinParticipantjb7 and LoGill thank you so much… Your suggestions are so welcome.. I just hope to understand them well, so that I can make the proper modifications.
I?m also thankful for seeing my website( in a portuguese forum I didn?t have that reaction) , and you?re right about the connection, its to slow.
LoGill.. that photo was taken close to my hometown, in Albufeira?s Lake ? feel free to ask anything about my shots and the places that I photograph. :wink:You actually are the amazing people that I expect you were :)
RodcunhaParticipantHello Patricia,
Nice to see another portuguese in the forums… this is getting international now Mark… be carefull with all those new markets for sponsorship… :D
Patricia I really like this photograph, knowing Sintra I know how beautifull it is… on my last holiday in Portugal I wanted to go there for a few shots but there was always something happening that kept me from going (christmas holidays own any attempts of photography).
I had a quick look through your website and you have some very nice work in there… really worth a visit…
I have to agree with Lorraine on this one Echoes is simply fantastic!
Hope you enjoy the forums and hope to see you around here often…
Regards,
Rodrigo
SusieSMemberBrian_CParticipantHi Patrica you’re very welcome. I love this photo, it’s the kinda image you’d see in poster form in a waiting room. Great colours and tones, really nice, very intense/bright but not overly so.
There is one change I’d make, and that would be to clone out the barrel in the back corner of the garden.Patricia, you say you’re also coming over soon. If you let us know when and where I’m sure poeple would be happy to suggest good locations to visit and shoot.
GrahamBParticipantWow – there was just an explosion of colour on my screen.
I wasn’t expecting that.
I personally wouldn’t touch a thing on it. I’d love to see it print out.Nice first posting. Can’t wait to see more.
I’ll check out the site when the office is a little quieter
erinParticipantI?m so glad you had like it!! I tend to emphasize the colours of nature, many people does not enjoy that to much!! This one was taken with 1600iso, by mistake  so I had to add even more colour.
Sintra it?s a land full of legends.. like your very special country!! Rod you have to visit Quinta da Regaleira!! I love to take pictures there.. its so peaceful and magical!!
Brian? sure, thank you for that!! I?ll come to Dublin in day 2 of March.. I?m looking for everything I can visit!!
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
