My little cousin Alyson. Hope you like and comment please. :)
(I?ve already visited your amazing country… I?ve never seen such nice and welcoming people. Hope to show you some photos when I finish the editions.)
Love the first one. The second one looks just a little too washed out for my taste. If you had retained a little more contrast I think it would have worked better. Lovely eyes and you made the most of them.
The first one is the pick for me. Although there does seem to be a green / blue tint to the picture.
The second one is a little washed which is a shame because it is a lovely picture.keep them coming Erin.

The first one is a little green but i quite like that .. her expression is pure cute and just full of mishief, I love the way she is looking out of frame and your perspective just makes her seem pretty … The second one I’m not so crazy about, the washed out look as has been pointed out – but i also think it seems a more of a family sentimental shot (‘cos she’s just gorgeous ) but the first has more to it as an image in itself .. if that makes sense!!

First one is fantastic Patricia… she’s a natural model imo. You caught a great expression..and as Lorraine said…the composition is great too. I’d assume the colour cast is deliberate on your part and doesn’t bother me. I actually love the way she engages the camera in the second one even though, as the others said it looks a bit washed out.

Although the second one is a little washed out as other have
already remarked on, it’s far from being a poor photograph.
Alyson’s engagement with the camera is absolutely wonderful and
completely bewitching. You could always revisit this one and boost
contrast and saturation levels to make it ‘pop’ a bit more.The first image though is sublime. Despite the greenish cast I have
to say I’m immediately reminded, both compositionally and tonally,
of the portraiture of Manuel Librodo. I can’t imagine a better compliment.Keep ’em coming.

No doubt erin will correct me if I’m wrong, but the first one has more than just a green cast. The colours you see are typical of what you would see in a cross-processed image. I think it works well here as it adds an air of mystery to the image.
First shot is great. The cast almost looks a bit cross processed perhaps?
Well it works for me and its a great shot!
Second one is too washed out for my liking too. Tone down the exposure a small bit and add some contrast and thats a great shot too!
Absolutely gorgeous shots Erin and i think both shots (as a result of the processing) have a certain timelessness about them. Absolutely gorgeous. The first shot, the only thing i might suggest is a tighter crop. VERY nice.
I love both these shots. Not sure if I’d have made the same processing choices (your choices possibly being better than the more standard approach I’d probably have taken!). But such things fade into insignificance compared to the way the joy and happniess of Alyson’s expression shines through in both pictures. Definitely ‘keepers’.

Thanks a million guys!!! The first one was an attempt of a digital cross-processing photo, with a curve adjustments and layers, but I wasn?t sure about the result. It?s a bit surreal and the idea was to create a little fantastic world for the girl. The second one I made different adjustments, desaturate and white layers, to create a different idea? to show the sweetness and innocence of the child I tried some soft tones.
As I said I wasn?t sure about the results, so thank you for every word and the enlightening of your different opinions. :wink:

Well when I looked at the shot first, i didnt think “green cast”, I thought “cross processed”.
I think it looks perfect for this shot. Very film type style and suits the shot.
