First impression wow, beautifully sharp, lovely shades of white, shadows.

Picky details – the buckle is just costume jewellery and kind of overwhelms the rings.
The 2 buttons or sequin-thingies are a distraction.
Are the whites on left blown?

    Thanks guys,
Buckle i can not change the size. Its custom to the ring pillow. maybe i can dull this down with a dodge/burn?
the 2 buttons i can clone out no issue there.
Blown whites on left. i like this effect on the overall pic. i have the raw file and keep playing with this but this effect for me works best?

I like the general feel of the image as well, what about a few of the technical details?

Hey Darren, first impression – very nice. Colour balance looks to be spot on, few minor things as p&s mentioned but all in all very nice :D
I’ve my first wedding to do in May so keep em coming :)

    Hi
    details for those interested,
    set up :-
Pillow and rings set on a PVC riser in a light tent,
i opted for a single 25w studio white light from the right, 2 lights really overpowered the subject.
Shot in RAW, imported to Iphoto for preview,
Moved file to Aperture to correct white balance. WB shot was tungsten
    Edits in elements 4.0
crop, resize, brightness, contrast, levels, noise remove and sharpen.

    Thanks for the comment,
Not a wedding photog but just messing with my own rings as i wanted a better shot than what the photography gave me for the front of a mini album

Well fair play to you for putting in the effort. Well worth it
too by the look of it. Nice work indeed.
