A first for me in the People Section, so be kind. Was in Collins Barracks Museum today and was eyeing up a photo of the staircase when my girlfriend ran up the steps to see what was on the floor above, so I just hit the shutter.
Nice lighting Pete and well exposed,I wonder if you shot it from above looking down it might make a good image,But then again everyone does that !! :lol:
Shutter speed and composition are great – love that tiny bit of movement in the leg.
On the technical side the highlights in the window look like they’re blown – fill in flash or bracketed exposures composited afterwards could have addressed this, but I don’t think it’s a huge negative – it quite suits the image.
Thanks for the C&C, its a little different to what I usually shoot so it’s good to get some feedback.
Tim, I knew the windows would be mentioned by someone. I did shoot it RAW but the size of the windows just let so much light in the exposure was hard to control that they wouldn’t be hot. Here’s another edit with some more detail held in the windows. Slightly different crop and rotation on it too.
