Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris. Converted to B&W in Lightroom.

I like this I think it’s well composed. I like how the road meanders through the image and then disappears, with the mirroring architecture each side.

In the larger image it’s not so bad, but I would prefer if the two people were a little more to the right of the road, as the person on the left is slightly lost there.

It also reminds me of the yellow brick road for some reason :)

I really like this. Sets quite a feeling.
I do feel that the kerbstones on the left hand side at the bottom of the frame lose their continuity being cropped for leading the eye into the image. If the angle were a little lower and shot more from the left a little to bring in the kerbstone and like Jay said to bring the other person into a more visible position I think.
I don’t mean sound negative about the image though!
I really do think the contrast and tones work fantastically with the texture of the bricks with their pattern and shape.

Pete, I know what you mean about the kerbstones. I toyed with cropping them out at the bottom, and was about 50-50 whether it was better or not. I was so eager to get the shot while the people were where they were, that I didn’t notice the cropping :(

They’re never too far away, I had a pair come up to me and ask for directions!
