Peacock feathers were almost dazzling when the sun shone
on them, polarizing filter…would this help? or would it dilute
the colour, I had one given to me and have never used it, dont
really know how it moves but the colour in the filter doesnt seem to
be graduated, so any help would be appreciated :)
Polarisers cut out light moving in one plane and allows light through in the perpendicular plane. If that makes no sense, get two and put them on top of each other – as you rotate one through 90 degrees you’ll see the transmitted light drop away till none gets through at all.
Thank you Pete, so does that mean that it would cut down on
glare rather than colour? and would be more beneficial for use
in bright sun say on water or bright sky shots?
