First of all Welcome to the site and group. You will learn a lot more here. About your photos I like the first one which is rich in colour. The 2nd and 3 rd could be improved upon ,once you see where you are going wrong you will automatically remember the wrongs.I am not trying to find fault ,just improvements. The swan shot is a great shot but you cut off his right wing,I do know the Fuji is not the fastest camera and it was a split second capture. The same with the third shot . Now tha last two are very good as in your gave the 4th one, a slow shutter speed to give the effect of the flowing water, a small bit further back would make a great spring entry for RTE weather competition (one to remember) and the last one is very sharp especially around the eye (which is important in portraits and animals)
So thats my 2 cents you certainally have the eye for a good photo and if i started off with some good shots when i began I would be happy.

The reason i know the Fuji is slow is that I use a Canon 10D and recently won a Fuji Finepix S9600 and its not the best camera for action, with its shutter lag of a split second. ( Shutter Lag = The time the camera focuses and the time it takes to take the photo , camera delays for a split second)
