Hopefully I havn’t over done the PS on this one
It’s another shot for St. Patricks weekend. Comment away, I’m
trying to master this B+W Conversion thingyFlipflipParticipantNah thats a good conversion for me anyway.
Good capture. You got a great expression there.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantI made some (hopefully) subtle differences to your original. Can you spot the differences….?
A charming image by the way, well captured!LoGillParticipantBrandyman’s has lifted this image alot IMO.. But I’m just wondering – is this little boy holding an Irish flag ? Do you have an uncropped version wit the flag .. Nice intercultural image if you looked at it in colour, I’m guessing the turban and sash might be brightly coloured also ?
Cute though .. ;)
L
GrahamBParticipantThanks for the comments folks.
Brandyman – thanks for the edit. It does look a little brighter and bit more vivid.
I really have to take a look at the screens I’m using. Most of my images are a touch dark.
Even when i don’t want them to be. they seem to be fine on screen but them I view them elsewhere
or in print form and they are darkish.Lo – here is the original colour version. This is as the shot was taken – no cropping.
nolongerParticipantWow, why would you take away those lovely colours? The colour shot is brilliant, IMO.

I’m colour blind, nah only joking, I’m a git for B+W, I pretty much convert everything i shoot to B+W
Always keeping the original though. Thanks for the comment.LoGillParticipantI have to say i love the colour one .. you could brighten it up and make it pop .. in particular the top of his face you can see thats what Ross did in his edit and it opens it up .. gorgeous shot :)
L
GrahamBParticipantThanks Lo – I’m going to have a look at this later on this evening.
I just got my new pc setup at home so I need a nice project to really test
the thing.RobMemberNow those colours just pop. Keep it colour, and as Lorraine
suggested, perhaps brighten up the top of the face as per
Ross’s edit. Wonderful.Rob.
RodcunhaParticipantGraham I have to agree with the others that the color shot is the one for me, great find!
Cheers,
Rod
