in my humble, possibly unwanted opinion this is the equivalent of dairy-lea cheese – over processed

sorry, just does not do it for me in the slightest since to me it’s photoshop degrading poor source material.

I don’t really agree with the comment “over processed”.
Yes there is a tonne of processing done on the shot but for me what
has been done is that the original picture has been changed into something completly different.
I don’t think it can be called a processed photograph any more. I think what Roberto is producing is
more along the lines digital art rather than photography.
If you critique this as a processed photo then yes it may be described as over done but I’m not sure
that it can critiqued in this way.
perhaps these pictures are in the wrong forum, maybe a photography forum is the wrong place.
If you take them as digital art then I have to honest i do like them, they are taking what could be considered
a boring photo and turning into a visual feast. The subject matter may not be interesting but the colours and effect
    really draw me in.

anyway that’s my two cents, apologies if it doesn’t make sense. I tend to ramble a little.

    Thanks for the comments.
Puckpics – unwanted opinion? why? This forum is not only for exchange our knowledge but for the reaction to our photos/pictures. I often post pics which are not photographs anymore and want to know the reaction.
I don’t think that the editing of this photo can be called digital editing because I adjusted lights and contrast. Did not use any filters or digital art softwares.
But this is not important. As Graham said, ‘The subject matter may not be interesting but the colours and effect really draw me in.’ The effect is important.
If I have ratio 1000:1, I am happy.

Any form of art is subjective to the viewer and therefore can generate millions of different feelings and opinions.

I personally don’t like this type of photo or art or whatever name people want to give to it, but I’m sure there are plenty of people around the world that do!

As to the wrong forum, I actually think Graham is right, but in my opinion this isn’t digital art as well… is just alternative processing or something to that extent.

    Regards,

    Rod
