Up at Fore Priory today just to get out for a while. Place was overrun
with bunnies, and devoid of tourists…

Cool photo. Great eye and fur detail and nice composition too. Very well done for getting this close!

Cheers Aidan. 200mm and as quiet as I could possibly manage.
    Damn this smoker’s cough…
Still, almost embarrassing after looking at all the zoo shots posted
from yesterday. Some amazing work there, so well done to all
    of you.

Nothing embarrassing at all with this photo. You got close enough (with a 200mm!) to a genuinely wild animal to get a well exposed, composed and sharp image.

It’s a very good shot Rob, as Aidan said its a lot harder to get close to an animal in the wild, and the shot is well composed and pin sharp!

    Well done…

really like this image Rob, I’ve seen very very few interesting shots of rabbits/hares. As Aidan said – lovely composition, well executed. You should be chuffed with this. :)

Thanks a lot guys. Must admit I’m quite enjoying spending more time outdoors
trying to shoot wildlife now that the weather is improving.

Ali. I was out yesterday evening walking the road between Carlanstown and
Kells and the place is positively overrun with bunnies! Must be an Easter thing…

That’s one of the things I love about wildlife shooting. I could spend a day out’n’about, not get a shot and still have a good day. It gets me ot of the house and enjoying the environment. The exercise is probably not so bad either :)

I’ve only just seen this now-
You’re a stealthy man with your big barrel lens-
Nice one, good sharpness and compo,
    as has been noted already-
