Excellent shots Ali…but have to say…the third shot is the one for me…!!

Best chicken shot I’ve seen on the forums so far…really brilliant… :D :D

#1 is excellent. Totally love #2. And I thought #3 was a plucked peacock … I wonder where those water drops are coming from?

Lovely conversions Ali. Number two is a fantastic
shot, brilliant perspective. Only slight shame is that
there isn’t more foreground to play with. It might
look as though you were in the water at the time.
    Brilliant shot.
As for the chicken… well and truly stuffed.

Actually it’s even more impressive when you know it’s a moving subject shot with manual focus!

They came out very good Ali, like the conversion too… but I have to choose Nr.3 :D

Outstanding work with only a prime lens and above all manual focus!

    Cheers.

#3 is one of those where “you had to be there”.

I thought naked birds were banned from the site? :) :)
    No.2 for me would never have thought that a B & W of a
tiger would have worked, but its WOW!

Thanks a million all for the comments and feedback. I’m looking forward to printing these (well the first and second at least) and seeing what results i get.

Expresbro – i’ll have to give you a print of the chicken shot. I’ll never look at a lump of chicken in the same way again :D

Aidan – That was the water falling off the Tiger. You can see his paw (bottom right). I’ll probably try and create more contrast between the chicken and paw before i print.

Rob – Thanks a million. The second shot is cropped – I actually have a bit more foreground in the original. I have to say i found it a bit too distracting to leave in.

Mick – Thanks a mil – I did very little work on the two images as i knew straight away from the histogram that i had a good range of tones. That and a smidgen of contrast :)

Rod – I got a great kick out of the chicken. It’s probably a pity i didn’t get the tiger’s mouth in the frame. I’m in love with that lens. Very rewarding when you get it right, but when you get it wrong – you do it in style :D

Soda – thanks a mil, that’s not chicken, i bit a lump off Robbie’s arse and threw it over the fence
    :D

Shutterbug – Thanks a mil.

    Richie – Thanks a mil :)
