Went for a stroll in Dunadea Forest Park (between Kilcock and Clane) yesterday. Far too
many people for my liking – playing football, throwing loaves of bread at the ducks – but I
came across this memorial for all the firefighters that died in the 9/11 attacks. Apparently,
one of them was from Dunadea.
…and once again, for interested parties, 100% crop…
Like the first one Rob, I’ve been in that park before and it really is the last place to find a
memorial to 9/11.
You should try and hit it early in the morning, that little lake has a habit of getting some really
cool mist on it. It’s pretty spooky at times.
Yes, I must try to get there early some morning. Perhaps it might
be a little quieter too. The place was overrun yesterday afternoon,
and I don’t suffer crowds easily…
